Location: North side of 13th St.  NE (also known as 12th St.) & West of Elm Drive, Mason City, IA 50428.

North of the Water Treatment Plant.  Zerbels trail-head is on the east side of Elm Drive, which connects the Winnebago River Trail to the Lime Creek Nature Center.


Park Description: An accessible fenced-in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment with their owners without disruption or endangerment to the citizens, wildlife, or property within the Mason City community.

The Park will include a 6′ high fence with double entry, for entering and exiting the park safely. Water fountains for humans and dogs, waste stations with bags throughout. Walking paths in the large and small dog areas with some added landscaping and benches.  Signs of the rules and regulations for the park.

Our Mission: To establish and maintain an open safe space for dog lovers and friends who are willing to abide by the park’s rules and restrictions.

All we can say ” that it’s about time “. Thank you for spear heading this. We use to live in Vegas and there were Dog Parks in different parts of the city that were wonderful. All the issues that were brought up at the council meeting were good ones. We would love to help and give you ideas from the parks we have been to.
